Rohtak, Jan 5 : The Haryana government has approved a number of new schemes for mentally- retarded children, which include setting up life-long facilities for them, giving a monthly allowance of Rupees 300 to those who are not going to school and providing services of caregivers to the mentally retarded people and multiple disabilities, in collaboration with national trust.

Synovus stock falls after bank boosts loan loss fund
Shares of Synovus, Georgia's second-largest bank, fell Monday as investors digested the company's weekend announcement that it expected to set aside $350 million to cover potential loan losses. That marks a whopping 75 percent increase in the company's loan loss allowance, which stood at $464 million at the end of the third quarter.
